FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Using English?

An iPhone and Android app to prepare the Use of English paper of the Cambridge B2 First (FCE) exam. You practise all 4 parts with short tests, get instant marking and review your mistakes.

Are the exercises like the real exam?

Yes. They follow the format of the four Use of English parts of B2 First: multiple-choice cloze, open cloze, word formation and key word transformation, with the same half-point marking in Part 4.

Is it free?

You can start for free: the first 2 sets of each part, random tests with the free questions, mistake review and your statistics. The PLUS and PRO plans unlock the rest.

Is it a subscription?

No. PLUS and PRO are one-time payments: you pay once and keep it forever, with no monthly charges. If you change phone, get your purchase back with "Restore purchase".

Will there be C1 Advanced or B1 Preliminary?

They are on the way. Right now the app covers B2 First (FCE) and the other levels show as "Coming soon".

Which languages is it in?

Spanish, English, Italian, French, Portuguese (Brazil), Greek, Turkish, Japanese and Chinese. The exercises, like the exam, are in English.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile → Delete account. Your account and progress are deleted straight away. You can also ask us by email.

Is Using English an official Cambridge app?

No. Using English is an independent app by Queens English Academy and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment. "Cambridge" and "B2 First" are trademarks of their respective owners.
